« Clafoutis aux Cerises »
Cherry Pudding
Preparation Time : 15 minutes
Baking Time : 40 minutes
Serves : 6 to 8 pers.
INGREDIENTS
Optional : some rum
METHOD:
- Preheat your oven at 300 degrees
- Place the butter in a large piece of bake ware (can be shallow)
- Place the baking pan in the oven to let the butter melt.
- In a large mixing bowl, remove the pits of the cherries
- Add some rum to the cherries if you decide to use rum
- Remove the baking pan from the oven and place all the cherries evenly on the bottom
- In a separate mixing bowl, mix the flour, the sugar and the vanilla
- Make a hole in the center of your dry mix and pour the eggs.
- Turn slowly and add the milk little by little
- Wisk with a spatula until mixture is smooth
- Pour the mixture over the cherries in the baking pan
- Place the baking pan in the oven and bring temperature to
325 degrees
- Wait for approx. 40 minutes until the top of the pudding become golden
- Remove the baking pan
- Decorate with a sprinkling of icing sugar
- Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
